Bad news, world: Detroit will not be building a statue of RoboCop. The cyborg who convinced us that, dead or alive, we're going with him will not be immortalized à la Rocky in Philly. Detroit mayor Dave Bing has been reaching out to the community for ideas to revive the inner city, and the public's continued insistence to see Officer Alex Murphy in stone will just simply not be heard. "There are not any plans to erect a statue to Robocop. Thank you for your suggestion," he tweeted, clearly under the influence of OCP.
