US release dates for the Motorola XOOM Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet – which we spent more hands-on time with earlier this week, at Google’s Honeycomb launch event – have been confirmed, after a regional Best Buy Facebook page prematurely listed the schedule. According to the Grand Rapids store, the XOOM will drop on February 24, while the HTC ThunderBolt will be here even sooner.
According to the same store, the ThunderBolt is set to launch on Valentine’s Day, February 14, the day that MWC 2011 officially begins. In-between there’ll be a new Samsung Presto “Hotspot”, which sounds like a MiFi-style mobile hotspot from the company.
Motorola is yet to confirm European release dates for the XOOM, though a WiFi-only version is expected in some regions come April. The initial model will have Verizon 3G, with a 4G version to follow.
