Famed Directors Reveal First Glimpse of Crowd-Sourced 'Life in a Day'

Life in a Day Last July, renowned directors Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald implored the public to submit personal videos for a YouTube crowd-sourcing project titled, 'Life in a Day.' According to The Next Web, 1,125 submissions -- which were all captured on July 24th of 2010 -- eventually made the final cut. The finished product will reportedly debut January 27th at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, but the first official, individual installment has already appeared.

If the brief, yet stirring, clip serves as an adequate indicator, the complete film should definitely entertain and engross. And, while it may not necessarily appeal to Scott's die-hard sci-fi fans, 'Life in a Day' should certainly provide "an honest and inspiring glimpse into our world." (Not to mention "realistic" -- just ask NASA.) For those hoping to follow the film's development, the 'Life in a Day' YouTube channel plans to incrementally release more clips in the days preceding Sundance.
