Apple has won the American Brand Excellence Award as the company that best meets the needs of small to medium-sized businesses. Apple also won the award in the Technology category.
The annual awards are given by The Business Journals, which is a collection of 41 local/regional business newspapers, and is owned by American City Business Journals, Inc. Over 2,000 owners of small to medium-sized businesses were asked to rate over 250 brands. The ratings were based on ?forward thinking?, ?behaves ethically?, and ?good price for what you get.?
?Apple has become the premier business brand, and as the leader of the tablet category with the iPad, Apple is redefining how we work,? said vice president of research for The Business Journals, Godfrey Phillips. ?Our study found that nine percent of business owners currently use an iPad for business.?
Apple joined other prestigious companies who won awards. Southwest Airlines won for Travel, Visa won the Financial/Insurance category, Verizon Wireless is tops for Telecommunications, Staples was the leader in Retail, and UPS won for Best for Business Services.
